A college education is only worth your time and money if, at the end of four years, you are actually capable of doing because you have been doing, not just studying, all this time.

Students should be recognized as sovereign learners capable of education and success even without attending an institution. Some are all the better for having not spent four years and $100,000, but we think there is something to be said for having a community of learners and experts to challenge you and support you in your work. Just as long as you are not mortgaging your future by the debt you acquire because of it.

A college redesign project:
dual-majors. language fluency.
500 students. 40 professors.
real-life skills. a real place. $5000 tuition.
